Chris Job

Chris began his career in retail banking, but soon after was reminded of one accounting class that sparked a special interest. “I decided to reinvent myself,” he says, and returned to school for a Master of Accountancy at the University of Denver.

Chris started as a student intern at WhippleWood in 2014 and was then offered a full-time position as a staff accountant. He expresses that the WhippleWood difference is “not only the relaxed culture, but by extension the people who create the culture—this is the reason people stay”.

He has specialized in both accounting and tax service areas and is highly proficient with the use of QuickBooks. In November 2019, he obtained his CPA license—a true accomplishment for any accountant. Yet for Chris, “being able to manage my clients while helping them prosper is always going to be an accomplishment of its own. To see their business grow and thrive while overcoming problems and getting over hurdles is a good feeling.” To him, client service is not only seeing something through to the end, but building trusted relationships with a client. It’s “critical to managing any client relationship,” he says.

Chris enjoys watching hockey and lacrosse—a sport he played in school—and spending time with his wife. Chris is well known at WhippleWood for his sense of humor. “Humor is a big part of how I bring happiness and joy to all the people around me,” he says.
