About Kacey
Kacey began her career as a staff accountant in 2010 at a small firm in Garden City, Kansas working on agricultural & construction audits, small business tax returns, farmers & individual tax returns and prepared financial statements for a variety of clients. In 2013, as Kacey was looking to move back to the Colorado area, her dad reached out sharing how he heard Rick Whipple speak at the Economic Breakfast. The line that stuck out the most was “we put the fun back in CPAs.” “When my dad called to share about WhippleWood CPAs, I thought that he was making the firm up. I couldn’t reconcile how a CPA firm and FUN could go together in the same sentence. After working at the firm, I whole heartly agree with the statement. The culture really makes WhippleWood a fun place to be.
Since joining WhippleWood in 2013, she has specialized in both the audit and tax service areas and is highly proficient with the use of QuickBooks. For Kacey, she feels like the personal touch is what separates WhippleWood from other CPA firms and appreciates the ability to work closely with clients at their offices or through remote meetings to help them accomplish their goals. “At the end of the day, I just want my clients to feel like they understand the story their financials are trying to tell them and watching them get to their goals is so rewarding.”
Kacey enjoys spending her time with her two young children, husband, and her immediate family. “Making memories and spending quality time with my family is important to me as that is what I remember the most growing up” she says. Kacey is an avid music fan and enjoys attending concerts.
